Five children were injured when the school bus on which they were riding crashed with a semi tractor trailer near Bowdle, South Dakota, on Thursday, March 8. According to KDLT.com, the school bus had stopped at a stop sign and prepared to cross Highway 47 when the tractor trailer veered onto the shoulder of the highway, crashing into the bus. Five children ranging from 7 to 16 years of age were treated for injuries. Neither driver was injured in the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
