The driver of a tractor-trailer involved in a chain-reaction accident on Interstate 95 in Richmond on Tuesday, Feb. 6, was charged by Virginia State Police for his role in the multi-vehicle accident. According to WDBJ7.com, the driver of the truck, which rear-ended a passenger vehicle and forced that vehicle into another in front of it, was charged with following too closely. According to the report, four people involved in the accident were treated for minor injuries.

The survey shows that trucks in 64% of fatal accidents were pulling one trailer. The survey also found that 32% of trucks involved in fatal truck accidents were single-unit trucks, and fewer than 4% were multi-trailer trucks.
