The driver of a tractor trailer was attempting to avoid one accident when he smashed into an oncoming pickup truck, leaving a 12-year-old child hospitalized. According to WTVA.com, the tractor trailer was traveling southbound on Highway 15 when a vehicle in front of it slowed to make a turn. The driver of the rig was unable to stop without rear-ending the vehicle, so he swerved into the northbound lanes, where he collided head-on with the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was also hospitalized with injuries. The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues its investigation of the accident.
