Four people riding in a passenger car were hospitalized when their vehicle collided with a tractor trailer in Clark County, Ohio, on Sunday, March 18. According to WHIO.com, both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 when the car merged into the right lane and struck the truck. The car flipped several times, and three of its passengers were taken by ambulance to a local hospital. A fourth man suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a medical facility. The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.
TRUCK ACCIDENT FAST FACT: According to TruckInjuries.com, about 27 percent of drivers of large trucks involved in a fatal truck accident had at least one prior speeding conviction. By contrast, 19 percent of drivers of passenger cars involved in a fatal crash committed previous speeding infractions.
