The driver of a pickup truck was seriously injured on Saturday, Feb. 25, when his vehicle spun out and was broad-sided by an oncoming tractor trailer in Sperry, Iowa. According to TheHawkeye.com, the pickup truck was traveling northbound on a snow-covered U.S. 61 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and spun into the southbound lanes. A tractor trailer driving southbound smashed into the passenger side door. According to the report, the driver of the pickup was airlifted to a nearby medical facility; the driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
