The Nebraska State Police are investigating an accident that occurred at a railroad crossing in Hastings, Neb., that claimed the life of a 52-year-old man on Tuesday, April 24. According to KCAUTV.com, the man had stopped his truck at a railroad crossing when he was rear-ended by a tractor trailer, pushing his vehicle into a pickup truck stopped in front of him. Two other people were also injured in the accident.

The survey shows that trucks in 64% of fatal accidents were pulling one trailer. The survey also found that 32% of trucks involved in fatal truck accidents were single-unit trucks, and fewer than 4% were multi-trailer trucks.
