A pickup truck collided with a tractor trailer near Lawrence, Kan., on Friday, April 6, leaving two people with life-threatening injuries. According to LJWorld.com, a man driving the pickup truck attempted to make a U-turn on westbound Highway 24 when his vehicle crashed into the tractor trailer. The driver of the pickup was transported to a medical facility in Topeka; a passenger in the pickup was airlifted to a hospital in Kansas City, Kan. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the accident.
