Two crates flew from a truck on southbound NC-11 in Bertie County, N.C., striking two other vehicles and injuring two motorists on Thursday, April 26. According to WNCT.com, one of the crates hit a passing tractor trailer, forcing that vehicle to veer into a tree. The driver of that truck was pinned inside his vehicle as emergency crews attempted to free him. A second crate hit a passenger car, injuring the driver, who was transported to a nearby hospital.
