A police officer in a cruiser had used lights and a siren for several minutes in an effort to flag down the truck until the crash, after which the semi rolled into the median and stopped, lying across westbound lanes. Police said alcohol was involved.
WXVT.com reports that a tractor-trailer hit and killed a woman early Monday morning, December 27, in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was still dark, and she was trying to flag traffic around her car, which she’d crashed into the side of the I-220 bridge. After the truck accident, the semi flipped and spilled plywood all over the bridge’s westbound lanes.
