A semi-truck driver lost control of his vehicle on Ohio 37 after swerving around a vehicle turning onto Pleasantville Road. The truck turned over, spilling its cargo of 2 foot-wide pipes onto a Subaru Forester SUV. A 62 year-old male driver of the SUV was taken to Fairfield Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
AZCentral.com reports a semi truck accident that occurred on Thursday, September 8 around 7:00am near Picacho Peak, Arizona. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a semi truck driver transporting produce lost control of his vehicle, crossed over the dirt median of Interstate 10 and struck a minivan. The van burst into flames, killing its three occupants. The accident continued as the semi truck overturned, blocking the westbound lanes of I-10 and ensnaring another semi truck and a Honda sedan in the accident. Both of those drivers were transported to area hospitals with injuries.
NBC Miami reports a tractor trailer accident that occurred on Thursday, September 8 before 6:00am in Pompano Beach, Florida. According to a representative of the Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor trailer proceeding north on Interstate 95 lost a rear wheel. The wheel entered the southbound portion of the interstate and hit a car. As a result of the road hazard, a pickup truck rear ended a Mercury Grand Marquis. Upon impact, the Grand Marquis caught fire. The driver died at the scene and another person was injured.
The WCF Courier reports a semi truck accident that occurred on Monday, September 12 around 7:00am in Grundy Center, Iowa near Beaman. According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, a 55 year-old male driver of a semi truck did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of county roads D-55 and T-29. The semi truck then broadsided a minivan, ejecting the driver of the van. The semi truck and the van ended up in a ditch. The driver of the van was killed. The sheriff’s office stated that charges are pending.
