Two women in a pickup truck were critically injured when their vehicle collided with a tractor trailer on Route 53 in Joliet, Ill., on Tuesday, March 27. According to Patch.com, the accident occurred near the intersection with Schweitzer Road when the pickup pulled onto Route 53 and into the path of the tractor trailer. The women were transported to a nearby medical facility with severe injuries. The Joliet Police Department is investigating the accident.
