One passenger car crashed into a median cable and a second vehicle struck a guardrail after both rolled through the sludge lost by a dump truck in New Bern, N.C., on Monday, March 19. According to the Sun Journal, the dump truck was hauling a byproduct of human waste used in making fertilizer when its tailgate malfunctioned, allowing waste to spill across eastbound Interstate 70. The material is pressed with a polymer that makes it slick, according to the report. The drivers of both passenger vehicles were treated for minor injuries.
