Andy Young is the Managing Partner of the Cleveland office of The Law Firm for Truck Safety, LLP. His clients are pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, ordinary motorists, and even truck drivers, all involved in catastrophic and fatal truck crashes. Andy holds what is believed to be the largest trial verdict in the state of Ohio for a truck crash ($42.4 million as lead trial counsel for two brain-injured teenagers).
He was appointed by the United States Secretary of Transportation to serve on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA’s) Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC). He has testified before committees in the U.S. Congress, the Ohio Senate, and the Ohio House of Representatives on trucking safety issues. He was invited by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and two safety advocacy groups to help organize and act as a moderator for two industry-related Truck Underride Roundtables.
