A Civilian Reserve Police Officer with the Waynesboro Police Department in Georgia was killed in a truck accident on the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 1, when his Ford Ranger was struck by an 18-wheel log-hauling truck. According to WJBF.com, the truck accident occurred at Drone Road and Highway 24 between the towns of Waynesboro and Vidette in eastern Georgia. According to the report, the officer turned left onto Highway 24 and into the path of the oncoming log truck. The accident remains under investigation.
