The Law Firm for Truck Safety is proud to announce that Andrea Young has joined the firm as a Trial Attorney in its Toledo, Ohio office. A Northwest Ohio native with deep roots in the Toledo community, Andrea joins the firm with a decade of experience representing injury victims and a personal understanding of what families face after a life-altering crash. After losing a close family member in a crash, she knows firsthand the devastation these incidents leave behind. That experience continues to drive her commitment to pursuing justice for the families she represents.
At The Law Firm for Truck Safety, she exclusively handles truck accident litigation, representing victims injured in collisions involving semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles.
Before becoming an attorney, Andrea spent years working as a paralegal, gaining hands-on litigation experience that solidified her decision to go to law school. She completed her law degree at the University of Toledo College of Law, where she was inducted into The Order of the Coif.
Andrea is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group, and the Ohio Association for Justice. She remains closely tied to the Toledo legal community, currently serving on the Toledo Bar Association’s Board of Directors and previously served as Secretary of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Small Firm Committee. She has been named to Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition from 2022 through 2026.
“Andrea understands trucking litigation, and more importantly, I’ve seen her compassion and resolve representing victims of truck crashes,” shared Michael Leizerman, one of the firm’s Ohio partners. “Her own experience with a life-changing crash in her family gives her a perspective that few attorneys bring to this work. We’re thrilled to have her on our team.”
Andrea earned both her J.D., magna cum laude, and her B.S. in Paralegal Studies, magna cum laude. She is admitted to practice in Ohio and Michigan.
