I-75, Warren County Ohio
Rear-End Crash | Wrongful Death
The Law Firm for Truck Safety’s Michael Leizerman received a $16M verdict for a young woman killed in a fatal crash with a dump truck on I-75 in Warren County, OH. The verdict was reduced by the fault of the driver of the car in which she was a passenger.
A dump truck pulled out from the median from a dead stop in the middle of the night into the fast lane of I-75 in the middle of the night. The passenger vehicle rear-ended the dump truck, killing both passengers. The dump truck did not have a high-visibility flashing amber light on top, as required by the Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
