80/90 Turnpike, Fulton County, OH
Rear-End Crash | Amputation, Traumatic Brain Injury
—
Truck crash attorney, Michael Leizerman, through a $34M settlement, secured justice for two Ohioans after a rear-end truck crash on the 80/90 turnpike left them severely injured, taking the legs of one.
In August of 2012, a disabled tractor-trailer parked was parked lawfully on the shoulder of the Ohio turnpike after breaking down. While this semi-driver received assistance from a tow truck, another eighteen-wheeler traveling eastbound collided with the disabled tractor-trailer pinning the tow truck driver between the two vehicles, and seriously injuring the driver of the legally parked semi. The driver of the eastbound tractor-trailer was uninjured.
The truck driver of the disabled vehicle suffered multiple severe injuries including a fractured skull, brain damage, dizziness, balance problems, and a leg fracture. The tow truck driver who was pinned in the crash sustained a brain injury along with physical injuries so severe, both legs required amputation.
