Two passengers on an Amtrak train reported minor injuries after the train they were riding slammed into a tractor trailer in Alpaugh, Calif., on Wednesday, March 7. According to VisaliaTimesDelta.com, the train and truck collided at the Highway 43 and Avenue 56 crossing, sending the truck’s entire load of 45,000 pounds of non-toxic, granular potassium chloride across the highway. The train was carrying 84 people at the time. The truck driver was not injured in the accident.
