A tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided on Route 301 in Bowie, Maryland, killing the driver of the passenger vehicle, according to Patch.com. The accident occurred on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 9, when the woman's Honda Accord crossed into the intersection of 301 and Governor's Bridge Road. The flat-bed tractor-trailer, reportedly driving north on 301, struck the Accord. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured, according to the report.

The survey shows that trucks in 64% of fatal accidents were pulling one trailer. The survey also found that 32% of trucks involved in fatal truck accidents were single-unit trucks, and fewer than 4% were multi-trailer trucks.
