An accident involving a passenger car and a semi tractor trailer near Phoenix left two students dead on Monday, March 12. According to ABC15.com, Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are still investigating the cause of the accident at the intersection of Loop 303 and Olive Avenue that killed two 16-year-old students. The driver of the semi was flown to a hospital in Phoenix and listed in serious condition.

The survey shows that trucks in 64% of fatal accidents were pulling one trailer. The survey also found that 32% of trucks involved in fatal truck accidents were single-unit trucks, and fewer than 4% were multi-trailer trucks
