A man driving a passenger vehicle stopped on Interstate 40 near Albuquerque, N.M., on Sunday, Feb. 26, in hopes of helping a dog that had run onto the freeway in traffic. Another motorist slammed her brakes to avoid the man, and a tractor trailer hauling 36,000 pounds of meat slammed into her vehicle, according to FireHouse.com. The semi was immediately engulfed in flames, although the truck driver escaped unharmed.
