The California Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that left one man dead in Imperial Valley, Cal., on Friday, March 9. According to MyDesert.com, the man’s pickup truck was rear-ended by a semi tractor trailer on State Route 86 near Westmorland. According to the report, the pickup truck had just merged onto the highway from the shoulder when the collision occurred. The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead after being rushed to a medical facility in Palm Springs.
