The driver of a tractor trailer was killed when his rig crashed into another semi truck on Interstate 70 near Brownstown, Ill., in the early-morning hours of Saturday, March 17. According to the Effingham Daily News, a truck driver had pulled to the shoulder of I-70 to address vehicle problems and was merging back onto the highway when a second semi smashed into his truck. The second truck burst into flames upon impact, killing the driver. The driver of the first truck was taken to a nearby medical facility and listed in serious condition.
