A motorcycle and a tractor trailer collided on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque, N.M. on Sunday, April 22, killing the motorcyclist. News website KRQE.com reported that witness accounts say the motorcycle was merging onto the westbound lanes of the freeway when the crash occurred. According to the report, he was thrown from his bike. According to police, he was not wearing a helmet at the time.
