As many as 60,000 commercial trucks may be affected by a faulty valve on vehicles equipped with traction control and stability systems manufactured by Bendix, according to Fleet Owner. Responding to driver complaints, Bendix investigated the issue and reported its findings to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Jan. 26. The malfunction reportedly causes inconsistent braking performance, and Bendix is urging any drivers using an affected vehicle to bring it in for service. The company also reported that it is not aware of circumstances where the faulty valve has led to personal injury.
