The driver of a semi-truck escaped with only minor injuries after an Amtrak train crashed into his vehicle Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Leoni Twp. in southern Michigan. According to mlive.com, an investigation continues as to why the truck was apparently stuck on Portage Road straddling the rail crossing when the train plowed into it. Ten people, including the driver of the truck and the operator of the train, were sent to the hospital following the crash. The train was en route to Chicago when the accident occurred.
