A man was critically injured when he stepped onto a roadway and into the path of a tractor trailer in Gainesville, Fla., on Wednesday, March 28. According to Gainesville.com, the tractor trailer was travelling on Williston Road near the intersection with Southwest 34th Street when the man darted into the westbound lanes. The driver of the truck slowed but was unable to avoid striking the man, who was taken to a nearby medical facility with critical injuries.
