Two cars collided head-on on a rural, two-lane highway in southern Michigan, killing one woman and leaving a man in critical condition. According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, the woman was northbound on Marshall Road in Girard Twp. when she attempted to pass a tractor trailer in front of her. Her vehicle slammed into a southbound car, and then hit the rear tires of the tractor trailer. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other car was flown to a nearby medical facility and listed in critical condition. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the accident.
