The Chicago Tribune reports a box truck accident on Saturday, April 9 around 12:45pm in Chicago, Illinois. Illinois state police said a box truck struck the back of a school bus with children aboard. The accident occurred near the West Loop of the Circle Interchange, close to the Jackson Blvd exit of the Kennedy Expressway near Harrison St. One child was injured and taken to Rush University Medical Center.
The Nashua Telegraph reports a delivery truck accident in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 9 around 1:23am in the morning. A delivery truck was proceeding east on Amherst Street in Nashua near the F.E. Everatt Turnpike when it hit an 18 year old pedestrian who was crossing the road. The pedestrian was airlifted to a medical center for treatment. Police impounded the delivery truck after the accident and are investigating.
Indy Star reports a semi-trailer truck accident that occurred at 8:55am on Monday, April 11 in Indianapolis, Indiana. According to Indiana state police, a semi-trailer tractor truck going east drove into concrete barriers on Interstate 70 underneath the Interstate 465 overpass. Some of the barriers moved into the westbound lanes of the highway, causing vehicles to swerve. A total of five cars and two trucks were involved in the accident, and a man in his 40’s was killed after being struck from behind by a semi-trailer. Four additional people were injured and transported to the hospital.
NY1.com reports a food truck accident on Monday, April 11 in the Tribeca area of Manhattan, New York. According to officials, the food truck collided with a vehicle where North Moore and West Street intersect. The food truck was carrying propane tanks and exploded. Two people were taken to a hospital for injuries.
